Fostering an Inclusive Culture at Teva

What does an inclusive workplace look like?

Our inclusive culture is what binds us. By removing the barriers between our people and their ideas, beliefs, and ability, we can harness the truly diverse insights that underpin our innovative work. It's about being accepted for who you are and feeling you belong. 

And, of course, individuality comes from the way people think, too. So as part of our initiative to increase the number of neurodivergent people working for Teva, we're currently piloting a neurodiverse recruitment program focused on Autism. We'll be working closely with a specialist agency that assists in recruiting talented individuals, training employees on autism acceptance in the workplace, and supporting candidates and managers throughout the placement experience.

We are proud to announce that our U.S. Legal department has achieved Mansfield Certification for the second year in a row! This certification demonstrates that our U.S. Legal department ensured that all talent have fair and equal opportunities to advance, including by expanding the slate of diverse talent considered for leadership positions within our organization. Mansfield Certification, awarded by Diversity Lab, recognizes the actions that legal departments like ours have taken to expand the slate of diverse talent considered for internal legal roles and to increase transparency regarding advancement expectations and qualifications.

Empowering you to be heard

Across the board, we want our people to feel empowered to be their true selves and inspire others in doing so. Our Employee Resource Group (ERG) provides a platform to take action and express your unique voice, offering networking opportunities, mentoring, and leadership training with like-minded employees to connect.

Proudly celebrating difference 

The diversity of our workforce gives us insight to the many different groups of people that are part of the Teva family. One of which is the LGBTQ+ community, which we support through celebrating Pride all year round with talks, marches, and events. Teva is proud to have received the recognition of Equality 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index the nation's premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQIA+) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. Teva was among the 545 employers who achieved a top score of 100 earning the coveted “Equality 100 Award”. 

Teva is proud to again be recognized as a “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” by the Disability Equality Index®. The Disability Equality Index® has become the leading independent, third-party resource for the annual benchmarking of corporate disability inclusion policies and programs and is now trusted by more than 70% of the United States Fortune 100 and nearly half of the Fortune 500It is a comprehensive benchmark that helps companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions across five scored categories: Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices, Community Engagement, and Supplier Diversity. Now in its 10th year, the Disability Equality Index has grown nearly 7x since 2015, expanding from 80 companies in its first year to 541 in 2024. Collectively, the 2024 edition received 748 submissions spanning the eight benchmarked countries.
